Discussion on why Wichita Kansas is the Man Cave Capital of the World

The city of Wichita, Kansas has long been considered the “Air Capital of the World” due to the number of major aviation industries nestled there since the 1920s and 1930s. But recently an interesting new development has occurred. Not only can the city of Wichita be considered the Air Capital of the World, but also it must be stated the city of Wichita is the Man Cave Capital of the World!
How can this city located in south-central Kansas claim this title? It’s simple and a product of how residential areas are built within this region. Through the decades the city has seen many housing trends. However, one home trend that was popular in the 1930s through 1960s has made a strong comeback in today’s residential market. The ranch style home with a view-out/walk-out basement reigns supreme for late model homes.  The homes feature spacious basements that guarantee enough space for a potential Man Cave!
When compared to other regions of the United States, there really isn’t anything quite like it.  Quietly, Wichita has claimed another moniker for the city, Man Cave Capital of the World. Those who live there can possibly rattle off at least 4-5 acquaintances with a Man Cave in their basement. Analyzing home trends into the foreseeable future indicates construction of the view-out/walk-out homes wont go away anytime soon.
So now we know a basement can be more than a Tornado shelter in Kansas. And in Wichita, those basements are home to some truly phenomenal Man Caves!
